21 Oversized Glass Cabs + Two Service Cabs
Partners: Schindler, Jenkins & Huntington, Goettsch Partners
Materials: The sidewall and rear wall panels of these oversized cabs are faced with laminated safety Glass and are constructed using lightweight honeycomb backing material. The surface appearance of the sidewalls and the rear walls are slightly different due to the etched mirror coating applied to the backside (of the sidewalls), and frit pattern design (printed on the surface of the rear walls). Each wall is framed in diffused light emitted from the base of each wall and around the ceiling perimeter.
The lower suspended ceiling, also faced with Glass (white), is constructed with an angle frame which alleviated the need to affix the Glass panels using adhesive. LED strip lights are installed in stainless steel troughs behind the handrails and are programmable to change color, similar to the 150 Media Stream, a 3,000-square-foot LED wall in the lobby. 1.5″ round handrails and trim are made of stainless steel #4 (satin finish).
